May 11, 2007. Tied 2 games each in the WHL Finals, the Giants hosted the Medicine Hat Tigers. The Giants wanted this game badly, anticipating no less than one game on Medicine Hat ice.

A. J. Thelen scored, what would prove to be the winning goal on a powerplay, midway through the second period. His competitive and strength proved him to be the first start of the game, which ended 3-0, giving the Giants a 3-2 lead in the final, before heading back to Medicine Hat.

Michael Repik, Mulan Lucic and Tim Kraus never gave up pressuring the Tiger's goaltender, Matt Keetley. Despite consecutive shutouts from Giant's Tyson Sexsmith, Matt Keetley earned star status throughout the series.

April 20, 2007. After upsetting the Everett Silvertips, the Prince George Cougars came to Vancouver. The Giants prevailed by a score of 3-1, taking a one game lead in the Western Conference Finals. 7,800 fans attended and cheered their team in typical Vancouver style.

Rookie forward, Lance Bouma opened the scoring. His second of the post season.

Vancouver Canucks draft pick, Evan Fuller picked a goal to tie the game in the second period. Kenndal McArtle continues to be a factor for the Giants by knocking in his 7th playoff goal midway through the second, assisted by Spencer Machacek and Tim Kraus. Michael Repik landed Vancouver their third goal at the 16 minute mark in the final period.

Although not a factor in scoring, the Giants defense prevailed, protecting goalie Tyson Sexsmith from a ferocious Prince George forecheck, which shut down their playoff predecesors.

The Cougars came within one goal, following a marker by Chris Durand from Devin Setoguchi on a powerplay. His third of the playoffs, with three and a half minutes remaining in the game.

PG played a rough defensive game as well. 6' 8", 241 lb., NHL signee, Vladimir Mihalik works Giants forward Mario Bliznak in the corner of the zone.

April 13, 2007. The Giants wrapped up the B.C. Division Championship, by trouncing the Seattle Thunderbirds. Certainly one of the hardest hitting games I've seen the Giants play.

Referee Derek Herman, didn't earn much respect from the crowd.

Tempers often flared, but cooler heads prevailed. There were no major fights.

Tyson Sexsmith faced a mere 13 shots. He stands at a 1.9 goals against average for the playoffs.

All-star forward, Wacey Rabbit continues to be a factor in the playoffs.

March 30, 2007. The Giants win the first round of the playoffs, four games to one, defeating the Chilliwack Bruins by a score of 3-1.

Kendall McArdle earned the first star for his effort.

Giants D-Man, Brett Festerling keeps Bruins centre, Mark Santorelli in check.

WHL Goaltender of the Month, Tyson Sexsmith allowed only 2 goals in three games.

Not your normal series ending handshake. Tempers flared at the 60 minute mark.

...............................................................

March 16, 2007 marks the final game of the regular season. Prince George met the Giants.

Cougars goalkeeper, Cyr Made some several great stops all night, but not this one. A blistering shot from the left side, Wacey Rabbit rimmed the net, scoring his team's insurance marker.

Final score Giants 2, Cougars 0. Tyson Sexsmith claimed a 3rd shoutout in his last four games.

The Giants, forechecking in good position. Four on four.

March 9, 2007 Chiliwack Bruins came to town, only to be shout out.

Second string goalkeeper, Alex Archibald let eight goals slip past him, as his team was simply unable to match the determination of the Giants to clinch top spot in the BC Division of the WHL.

Once again, nearly 12,000 spectators pack the PNE

Feb 25, 2007 : The Giants took on the Kamloops Blazers before a weekend of record crowds.

A rough and tumble game it was, as the Giants defeated the Blazers 6-1

The Blazers needed hugs after this one.

January 21/07

The Giants hosted the Everett Silvertips in another excellent match up, although succumbing to the Tips in the shootout. Final Score 6-5, but the single point still keeps the Giants in first place in the BC Division.

Howard and Svetlana, moments before the game at the PNE.

Dec, 15/06. Everret at Vancouver. The two best Junior teams in the CHL and undoubtedly the world.

The Giants lost, 2-1 to the Silver-Tips.

A great game, despite the loss and questionable officiating.

Tim Kraus, squares off with Everett's Alic Darnir.

The game was scoreless for nearly the first half of the contest. The Giants outshooting

the Tips in the first frame, by a wide margin. Boston Bruins draftee, Mulan Lucic dumps

hot-shot center, Zack Dailey, while fending off Johnathan Harty, who later, will put his team

on the scoreboard for the first time of the night.

Then the fur started flying. On a penalty shot, Giants center, Tim Kraus, put the 10,802 fans at the Coleseum, into a cheering, teddy slinging free for all. Scores and more of cuddly animal magnetism forms darkened the ice surface of this charity event.

We all have our tosses to bear.

Joey Kenward: Rookie forward James Wright capped off the scoring for Vancouver. A shot from Lucic from the slot sailed high and wide. But as the puck bounced off the end wall, Wright was able to gather it up and stuff it behind Westblom. Kyle Lamb also hits the score sheet on Wright's second of the year at 10:20.

The clock indicates 10:18 played (2 seconds before the goal) James Wright is nicly positioned to pick up the rebound from the end wall, catching Westblom out of position.
